Proper Responsibility - ". . . The Myth of Neurosis includes overcoming the illness excuse. . .common problems in living" (Collins, 1988, 46-47). They avoid responsibility.

Patchwork or Integration is a life changing difference; it is the way people ignore or deal with responsibility.

Patchwork controls a person's choices and it prevent people from understanding their actual responsibility. Patchwork blocks the actualization of personal consequences and personal experience of God's grace. Often the control factor, patch work is perceived as protection of the other person, but patchwork is a habitual way of life. A life of quick fixes, extreme choices, and prevention of consequences are patchwork.  Patchwork and indirect responsibility work together to push the blame off on someone else. For example, when a person tells another or listens to others without fully considering personal responsibility they passes or ignore their responsibility to another. In fact others choose for them thus, the actual responsibility is controlled by the other person; this is an example of patchwork or indirect responsibilities. Since a few of peoples present choices are from their personal input, he is patch working his way though life; consequently, he will never learns how to differentiate his responsibility and his choices. Others will always control his life for him. Satan is the ultimate patch-worker. He deceives people to feel like they are in control of their life. He and his demons suggest deceptions to people on how to live their life, for Satan wants people to be dependent on him and to be  independent of God. Satan takes a person's choice away.

Integration the solution for patchwork. Integration is to be understood and carried out to help people to develop into personal independence being a dependent servant of the living God. To become an independent person requires a choice, for it is uses truths to fend off evil and develop faith. H.A.Wilkin suggests, the amount of integration a person has learned to help differentiate his choices determines the stability of that person (386). Freedom is only discovered in Christ. He offers victory in His truth, His power in the Holy Spirit.  Free choices of truth help people to integrate through life. True choice enables us more freedom and a fuller understanding of personal responsibility. When people accept and act responsibly for their choices, they enjoy freedom in Christ. Truth  integrates since they led to dependence on Him, "The Chief Cornerstone," the rock of stability. An effective person acknowledges and deals with patchwork while they seeks responsible living.
