The Best Fruit leads to the abundant life, which
is very different from where we started in the progression:
- Stage
1. The Bitter Fruit is My Life Without Jesus,
-
Stage
2. The Better Fruit is My New Life with Jesus,
-
Stage
3. The Best Fruit is Jesus’ Life Through Me
In the Best Fruit ,
Jesus promises in John 10:10, is the abundant life. Jesus is
called the Great Shepherd, so as a Shepherd he not only protects,
Jesus helps us produce the best fruit. Christ Jesus leads us step-by-step
by the Holy Spirit as we live by faith.
- In a similar way as we exercise faith
for salvation, the first time we called on Him. We also, need
to call on Jesus in different degrees with each life issue. Many
issues nevertheless, seem to be harder on our faith because there are
issues we do not want to look at or admit. Regardless, God wants
us to be reconciled and sanctified in Christ Jesus. Therefore, seeking
and living a consistent faithful lifestyle produces the best fruit even
in the worst situation.
- We
are to seek Jesus in consistent faith. As we let go in faith, we receive
new chances, Lamentations 3:22-24, 'Because of the LORD’s great love
we are not consumed, for his comparisons never fail. They are
new every morning; great is your faithfulness.’ I say to myself, “The
LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him" -
Discerning Our
Fruit
The believer's promise for the sinful nature is Jn.
10:10. Jesus gives good gifts and not a snake or a scorpion,
Luke 11:11-13. He wants to give the abundant life. A snake or a
scorpion is the bitter fruit of the sinful nature from our life
without Jesus. Also, the bitter fruit maybe from our current choices
that are affected by our unresolved past. Going by faith to the cross
and then to the throne of Jesus helps us to live out and enjoy the
abundant life.
